CPA and Shareholder

Tim has been in public accounting for over 20 years.  He started his career in Grand Rapids working for a big eight international accounting firm after graduating from the University of Notre Dame.  He joined Vander Ploeg, Bergakker & Associates in 2002 and was promoted to partner in January 2004.  Tim has considerable experience working with closely held businesses assisting them with their overall business needs including auditing, succession planning, strategic planning, tax planning, enhancing financial performance, assisting in obtaining bank financing and/or bonding.  Tim assists his clients in a variety of industries including distribution, medical and life science field, construction, retail, bars and restaurants.

Tim is currently a board member of the Medical Mile Resource Group and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of CPAs.  He also coaches both youth soccer and baseball.
